Safe Families for Children is a program of Hearts with a Mission. Heats With A Mission is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We help families in crisis get back on their feet and keep families intact. SFFC surrounds families facing a crisis with a caring, compassionate community of volunteers.
What is Safe Families for Children? Safe Families for Children (SFFC) is a movement that helps isolated families find community. Safe Families for Children is volunteer driven and professionally supported. Support can include temporary hosting of children, respite childcare, or mentorship for youth and parents. Families in crisis experience the kindness and generosity of the community as they are provided with a safe environment for their children, connection, and encouragement to overcome their specific challenges.
How does Safe Families for Children work? Through Safe Families for Children, families in crisis are provided a circle of support by people who desire to help. SFFC staff works with the local faith community to develop volunteers in our community. These volunteers are trained, background checked, and matched to the family with their input. Safe Families services are 100% voluntary and free to families.
